Abstract | The recombination of photogenerated carriers (electrons and holes) is an issue in photocatalysis and negatively affect efficiency of photocatalyst. Various strategies have been explored to minimize the recombination. In this study, we have synthesized In2O3/TiO2 heterojunction photocatalytic system by high pressure hydrothermal synthesis method. The band levels of In2O3 and TiO2 are positioned in way that the recombination would be minimum. In this presentation, physico-chemical characterization of Cu@Pt/In2O3/TiO2 photocatalyst and its time dependent photocatalytic hydrogen generation will be presented.
